Silverfort
Description of technology
USER AUTHENTICATION - Silverfort extends multi-factor authentication (MFA) to all resources in the Active Directory environment—both on-premises and cloud—without the need to install agents. It offers complete visibility into authentication activities and protects on-premise and cloud Active Directory environments, preventing attacks using compromised credentials. Silverfort extends MFA to all resources, including those that traditionally cannot support it, and provides centralized insight into all identity traffic and authentication-related activities. It identifies and monitors service accounts based on their unique behavior, applying tailored access policies that can alert the SOC team or block access when a deviation is detected. Silverfort's real-time protection blocks unauthorized access attempts for any user, service account, access method, or resource, effectively preventing breaches. It also prevents lateral movement within networks by enforcing adaptive authentication and MFA on all administrative interfaces, including low-level command-line tools such as PsExec, PowerShell, WMI, and CIFS/SMB.
